EP99: Failure = Growth

Hello Chit Chatters!

In this podcast, I want to talk with you about how growth and discomfort are related. And how when you are uncomfortable, you will often seek out ways to avoid that discomfort. But avoidance only leads to more discomfort and more trying to avoid the discomfort. Ultimately, the only real way to grow is to actually get uncomfortable with yourself and give yourself the opportunity to gain insight, knowledge, and learn from the experiences of trying to do something that you really want to do for yourself, your life and journey.

Failure is something we all experience. But often, when we fail, we don't learn anything from that experience. The true mark of a man or woman of worth is not how well they avoid failure but how well they grow from it. If you want to grow as a person, there's no better teacher than experience. No one can really teach you anything until you've been through the process yourself. That's why this episode is so important for all of us. 

I'm going to encourage you to take a small step for yourself, and lean in with courage. And don't be so fearful of the failure and recognize that the failure is a success of failure is part of your growth. Failure is part of your journey. It makes you stronger, it makes you a better person, it gives you resiliency, and it's going to help you in whatever you're trying to create.
